About VTK Productions
VTK Productions is an independent, aspiring production house that mostly creates and experiments in short films. The production house was established in late 2006 by Kyle van Tonder (in Bloemfontein, South Africa) with the primary aim of distributing and marketing his films.

Since establishment, Kyle van Tonder has produced and directed (part-time) six short films under VTK Productions, namely:

Mind Void was part of the official selection of short films at the Balticon 44 Sunday Night Short Film Festival in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. (May 2010)
Predictive Reasoning was part of the official selection of short films at the 2009 Johnstown Film Festival in Pennsylvania, USA. (July 2009)
Predictive Reasoning was broadcast on SABC (South African Broadcasting Corporation). (April 2009)
March the Second was broadcast on SABC. (March 2008)

Funding:

Personal funds and sponsorships have made productions possible. The International Performing Arts Institute Trust sponsored both March the Second and Predictive Reasoning. They also contributed towards the production costs of Incoherent.

Equipment and Gear:

VTK Productions currently shots on HDSLR with a rigged up Canon 550D.

Publicity:

Since establishment there have been numerous articles published on our films, as well as Kyle's progress as a filmmaker, in local as well as international newspapers and magazines. This includes the international magazine 'Digital Video', the local 'Beeld', 'Volksblad', and 'Krant' newspapers as well as the 'MyWeek' and 'GetIt' magazines.

During December 2008 Kyle discussed the creational process of Predictive Reasoning on a local university radio station by the name of Kovsie FM. In September of 2010 he once again appeared on Kovsie FM to discuss the progress of his upcoming short film Incoherent. In June 2011 he was interviewed on Kovsie FM's Arts and Culture show about the completion of Incoherent. Some of the cast were also interviewed later that month on the same show.

Creative Commons for the filmmaking community:

Where possible VTK Productions licenses its content under Creative Commons. The allows for free legal distribution of content among film enthusiasts and filmmakers.
